Buen avistamiento de cetáceos en Tarifa

Crónica de un fantástico avistamiento de cetáceos en Tarifa hace unas semanas:

Hoy hemos realizado la salida de avistamiento a las 16:30 desde el puerto de Tarifa, con un viento suave de poniente y una mar en estado perfecto para los avistamientos. Salimos dirección a Punta Cires y al poco tiempo de navegación nos cruzamos con un amplísimo grupo de delfines comunes que se dirigía hacia nosotros, de más de 100 individuos. 

Los delfines, entre ellos varias crías, se acercaron al barco y estuvieron saltando en la zona de proa y nadando entre los dos cascos de nuestro catamarán, lo que permitió disfrutar de unas vistas submarinas increíbles desde la parte inferior del barco. Tras un rato disfrutando de la compañía de estos animales cambiamos rumbo dirección hacia el este, donde avistamos un grupo de unos 7 calderones nadando tranquilamente y disfrutando de la buena tarde que hacía. 

Estuvimos un rato observándolos, tanto desde cubierta como desde la zona de visión submarina, donde pudimos ver realmente de cerca a estos increíbles animales, y después pusimos rumbo ya hacia puerto otra vez, con la satisfacción de haber podido disfrutar de una fantástica excursión por el estrecho de Gibraltar, y de la compañía de los cetáceos que habitan en este entorno.

Today we’ve done the whalewatching trip at 16:30 from Tarifa´s port, with a soft East wind blowing and a perfect sea in order to whalewatching. We started the trip in Punta Cires direction, and it didn’t take too long to see a very large group of common dolphin, of about 100 individuals, swimming directly to us.

The dolphins, including several calves, came around the boat, and started to jump in the front part of the boat and to swim between the two hulls, so we were able to enjoy an amazing submarine watching from the underwater part of our boat. After a while enjoying the company of these animals we headed to the East, where we found a 7 member group of pilot whales, swimming calmed and enjoying the good sunset.

We spend some time with them, watching both from the upper deck and the underwater part, where we could watch really close these incredibles animals, and after that we headed to the port again, with the satisfaction of having enjoyed an awesome trip in the Gibraltar strait and the company of some cetaceans in this habitat.
