This afternoon we have been really lucky. A fin whale has appeared really close to the boat. They are crossing the strait of Gibraltar during their migration to the Atlantic ocean. Not that often we can see the second largest animal of the world that close to our boat. We hope to see more of them in these days!!

This morning we finally could sail in the strait of Gibraltar. The levante wind decreased in intensity so we went out to try to find the animals. The pilot whales appeared suddenly, and they have been with us for a long time.

They have been really close to the boat so we have seen them through the underwater windows. It has been magic. It looked like they were watching us and not on the other side. We also could see a newborn calf with his mother, that has been a really emotive moment.

The strong wind from the east is still blowing in Tarifa so once again we have sailed in Algeciras bay. We went out from La Alcaidesa Marina and really fast we found a big group of common dolphins.

There is a nursery of common dolphins in the bay so we have seen a lot of calves. It is always delightful to see these endangered animals, with their nice colors. They were really calmed so we could get some nice pics. We hope you enjoyed them!!!

Here we can see some of the pics from a dolphin trip at Algeciras bay. The common dolphins that use to live there showed themselves very well and we enjoyed with their beautiful colors. In some of the photos is very clear their characteristic color pattern, like a sand clock, yellow and grey.
